Welcome to the hub of documentary magic – Doc Edge Pitch 2024!
Picture this: Ōtautahi Christchurch, New Zealand, a hub of creativity, culture, and innovation, hosting the leading and most electrifying documentary pitching forum in the Asia-Pacific region as part of Doc Edge Festival in June 2024.
Doc Edge Pitch offers filmmakers a premier pitching opportunity, connecting them with local and international decision-makers. It’s the sole event in New Zealand dedicated to documentary pitching, providing finalists with mentorship workshops and a chance to win prizes and access to international festivals and markets.
The hybrid format allows for both in-person and remote participation, with finalists receiving intensive preparation and presenting their projects to industry experts. Participants benefit from industry connections, training sessions, and opportunities to engage with global events.
Since 2006, Doc Edge Pitch has facilitated impactful projects, supported by NZ On Air and NZ Film Commission content, and introduced filmmakers to production companies, commissioners, and broadcasters.
