Ngā Taonga Audio Documentaries

To mark the 100th year of radio in Aotearoa New Zealand, we present this selection of radio documentaries from Ngā Taonga Sound & Vision for your listening pleasure.

Painting a picture with sound, each of these six documentaries captures the voices and ambient sounds of a time past.

They’re just a few of the thousands of radio documentaries cared for by Ngā Taonga. You can explore the whole catalogue, and revisit these ones at any time, at [www.ngataonga.org.nz](https://www.ngataonga.org.nz/search-landing)

Ngā Taonga Sound & Vision is the audiovisual archive of Aotearoa New Zealand.

Ngā Taonga cares for a diverse collection of nearly 800,000 items, dating back to 1895. The collection includes film and television, sound and radio recordings, as well as video games, posters, artefacts and documents.

Quiver Vision - the Aquarium, Planes and Masks
It has become increasingly difficult to educate the general public on issues relating to New Zealand's marine life in the age of internet. We are so inundated with clickbait and fake news that it can be difficult to access reports published by trusted sources. This AR experience aims to educate members of the public on this subject by getting them to colour in fish. It's a fun, undemanding task that turns the learning process into an interactive activity.
